Cinderella & Rockerfella Calender Art

This term in Gri11 2.0 we are doing our Calender Art. The theme of the Calender art is, Cinderella and Rockerfella. Because in term 2 we have just performed our school production. So we have lots of photos from the production. This is my Calender art.

Father's Day Writing

As you all probally know Father's Day was on the 4th of September this year and we also know all our Dads are very very special to every each and one of us. In Gri11 2.0 this last week we had to write a Description, a Procedure or a Recount. I did a Description, and here it is. Hope you enjoy my piece of writing.

My Dad is the best Dad in the world, I know the some people just say that but I really mean that. I really love my Dad because he is just like a perfect stack of pancakes, a perfect Dad. He was the one who taught me how to play badminton and table tennis .My Dad is not like any Dad in the world every Dad in the world is special to their kids, and my Dad is special to me. Just like how important food is to me.

To me my Dad is as soft as flour. He is a amiable and loving Dad. When he is teaching me my percentages and fractions or my proper strokes to my calligraphy words. He always so patient with me even if I don't get it in like 2 years he will still keep trying to teach me.

My Dad is sweet like sugar. You don't have a perfect stack of pancake when they aren't sweet. My Dad is sugar because… well he sweet. He is sweet because he is always really kind to me. Yes sometimes he does get mad. But most of the time he is really sweet, just like sugar.

When you mix baking powder with a substance with acid in it. The acid makes the baking powder it goes all fizzy, Bubbly. Just like my Dad. He has such a bubbly personality.

Milk. I love drinking milk, just like how I love my Dad, and I know that he loves me back. I love all the things about of my Dad. From his humor and his terrible Dad jokes to his love for our family.

There is no way my Dad is salty or buttery. My Dad is the best Dad in the world seeing him everyday is the best thing ( plus Mum )

I love eating eggs and so does my Dad. When I'm eating or thinking of eggs. I think of my Dad. As if he is there eating with me.

When the pancakes are sunny golden-brown then you have some perfect pancakes. While I have a perfect Dad.

To the most loving Dad in the world.

Swimming !!!

Water splashed above my face as the sound of my friends cheering for me. It was like they helped me gain more power to swim. 

The sun was burning on my back. Today was Swimming Champion try outs. It was Autumn and it is 26 degrees ! We were standing outside of the Lido pools with my togs underneath my t-shirt and waiting for Mr R and Mrs G to give us instructions. As soon as we stepped in a blast of heat hit us . It almost knocked me off my feet. The smell of chlorine came across me. I have always liked the smell of it.

Now we were in the indoor big pool. Swimming sports was about to begin. Boy's Freestyle! Boy's Backstroke! blah blah blah. WHEN WAS IT GOING TO BE MY TURN. Finally it was time for the Girls backstroke race. I swam and swam and swam. At least I came third. But even if I didn't I would have still been happy because I still did it. I came out and my mum said to me '' Good Job Ivy!'' I felt very proud like a lion.

Maroon 5 concert

I was sitting on the floor with my legs deeply embedded in a cushion waiting to have my hair braided for the concert!!!!! MY FIRST CONCERT. SO EPIC!!!!!!!! I could imagine the blinding stage lights streaming across the bleachers. I could hear the ear piercing sound of music. Finally when I woke up from my daydream my hair was all done . I was still sitting on a pillow in the middle of the carpet.  IVY!!!! It was time to go !!!!!

As soon as we got to the Vector Arena we were famished so we went to the Tuning Guitar to have some dinner. Just saying we walk all the way there. My Mum and Dad weren't there so it was just my sister her best friend and me.

The gates opened and security guards surrounded the doors waiting for us to enter with our tickets. We handed him our tickets then we practically bounced into the the Arena.When we took our seats we had to wait for a million years until the show started. First the guest bands played, the first band was called... Well I forgot what the band was called. The second band was called Dirty Loops.
Then finally it was time for MAROON 5 !!!!!!!! The first notes of their song Animals played....

Gri11 2.0 at Sixtus Lodge Camp !

We've been on camp this week and everyone had a great time at Sixtus Lodge, personally I liked the Horse Riding ,the River Walk ,the Glow Worm Cave and the Water Slide the best.

The horse I rode on was named Gemma. She was a beautiful blonde pony with very soft hair. I think Gemma is the best horse because she was very easy to steer and she was so calm . She wasn't very fast but she wasn't too slow. She was a gentle horse and also very strong.

On the River Walk you went through the Glow Worm Cave and you tramp through the other side, it was very hard and it was very wet so you could slip easily. The water could go up to higher than your knees! You had to climb over pieces of wood and walk over rocks. It was really beautiful.

In the Glow Worm Cave it was like the little glow in the dark stickers that I had on my ceiling when I was little. As soon as is stepped into the Cave a breeze of magic came over me. It was pitch black apart from the glow worms.drips of water dropped from the celing  Did you know that it is actually their poo that is glowing? My feet started to get cold I thought I was getting frostbite!!! That was how freezing it was.

On the Water Slide the water was so cold . As soon as you stepped on the black plastic you would slip like it was ice.

Thank you all the parents for taking us to Camp it was a great time we wouldn't be at Camp if it wasn't for you guys so Thank you.

I absolutely loved camp and would love to do all of the activities again (except the first big tramp!)

The "Sub" Hub

This term in Grill 2.0 we are learning about HAUORA . Hauora means 'wellbeing' in maori. Red is for physical, Yellow is for mental and emotion, Green is for social and Blue is for relaxation.There are all kinds of rooms for our well being . The HIDEOUT is the blue room, for relaxation, the hideout is ideal for people who want to get lots of work done alone. The HANGOUT is the green room, the social room.Where people can talk to their friends as well get lots of work done. 

The last room is called The HUB. the hub is the main place in Grill 2.0. This is where most people work. This place is all of the colours of hauora.

My favourite room is The Hub. But in the in the hub there are a lot of places to work in the hub. My favorite place to work is under the foseball by the girls tote trays. This place is like a hiding place for me.I call this place the Sub Hub. I named this place the Sub Hub because I was very hungry and I was thinking of Subway so that is why I named it The Sub Hub.

So this is the my favorite place to work in the classroom.
